Dr. Mark Datuin joined Mission Audiology in 2018. As a native of Orange County, he is thrilled to be able to serve the same community where he grew up and continues to live. Mark was inspired to pursue a career as an audiologist through his deep appreciation for live music and the performing arts. He cherishes the ability to hear well, which drives him to help patients improve their hearing to not only connect better with their friends and family, but also to maximize their enjoyment of live performances, music, movies, and television. In addition, he strives to educate patients on protecting their hearing by using proper protection in loud noise situations such as concerts and other recreational activities.
Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Datuin worked in various hospital and ENT clinic settings in the San Diego and Orange County areas. He was excited to join Mission Audiology because it allows him to work more closely with patients to provide the most individualized care possible. His favorite part of working at Mission Audiology is meeting new patients and learning about their unique backgrounds. Mark also enjoys the counseling aspect of working with patients and has a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

He has volunteered with the California Academy of Audiology, local schools providing speech and language development assessment, hearing screenings, and events educating the public on hearing loss and hearing conservation.
