Hello Dr. Sullivan,
As you know, I am a retired Fire Captain. I came up through the ranks, so, as an Engineer, (driver) my left ear was exposed to wind, air horns, and sirens. Also the fire engine pump made lots of high pitched noise. Then I was promoted to Captain, and now my right ear was very exposed to wind, sirens, air horn and radios. Needless to say, my hearing suffered BIG TIME.
Thanks to you, the advance in hearing aids, and your sage advice, I now hear remarkably well considering my degree of hearing loss. By listening to you, working with you, and doing what you recommended, I actually hear in stereo again, and can even hear crickets. Thank you!
I would, if I could offer a couple of words of advice to your clients.
1. listen to Dr, Sullivan when she tells you that you need to wear your hearing aids and get used to them. Yes, they may be a bit uncomfortable at first, but regular wear soon takes care of that.
2. Don't expect perfect hearing first time out, work with Dr. Sullivan, and she will get you to the very best level to improve your hearing loss.
